The Oslo conference will start a day earlier in Copenhagen for the Technical forum, with a programme of guided tours and meetings with technical teams.


Thursday 25 September

09.00 – 10.30 : Backstage tour of Copenhagen's new Opera House
11.00 – 12.30 : Backstage tour of the new Play House
12.30 – 13.30 : Lunch
14.00 – 15.00 : Tour of workshops
15.00 – 15.30 : Tea/coffee and transfer to the ferry boat
17.00 : Departure of the Copenhagen – Oslo ferry


Friday 26 September

09.00 : Arrival in Oslo
10.00 – 12.00 : Meeting with Ingemar Carlsson, designer of the new techniques of Oslo Opera House, and Bosch Rexroth representative Guido Patten

Trond Giske, Norwegian Minister of Culture and Church affairs, with Bjørn Simensen, outgoing General and Artistic Director of Den Norske Opera og Ballett, and Nicholas Payne, Director of Opera Europa

15.00 – 16.30 : Plenary debate on Opera in Society
With contributions from Bishop Gunnar Stålsett, Khalid Salimi, Director of Oslo’s Mela Festival and of Horisont,Jonathan Mills, Director of the Edinburgh International Festival, and Prof. Nina Witoszek, moderated by Nicholas Payne
