Any association wishing to support the development of opera throughout Europe may apply to join the Committee of Association Representatives (CAR), which acts as consultative body in the management of Fedora: recommendation of Board candidates, review of season events, review of projects presented to the Board for funding and regular consultation with the executive team on the management of the association.
CAR members benefit from access to Opera Europa services, such as:
- participation in the Fundraising Academy, in order to share experience on running Friends organisations and raising funds from individual supporters for their opera house
- access to Opera Europa’s private website, with key staff address books for member companies
- promotion of the associations' activities linked to their opera company’s programme through the Fedora e-newsflashes
CAR associations may also choose to offer the annual European Opera Friends event to all or a category of their members.
All Friends organisations are invited to promote Fedora to their members.
The CAR membership fee is €500/season. Each association receives two seats on the Committee, which may be occupied by professionals or volunteers.
